We finally have a date for this years wrestling banquet.  April 24th at 6:30pm.  It will be held in the Annex Cafe and we are doing a potluck.  Hope to see you all there.

Meet in the annex gym at 11:15 (In the Grey hoody)Each varsity wrestler bring $40 to help pay for van and hotel.
We will be taking our team picture
Practice 12 to 2

Thursday
practice 10-12:30
shower and get ready to leave for knoxville at 230.

practice at bearden at 7 -8:15.
back to rooms and lights out at 10:30.

FRIDAY
leave hotel at 6:30 for weigh ins. (must be packed and ready to check out)
weighins at 7
wrestling starts at 9

Parents you are encouraged to attend however I want all of the kids to stay together and prefer that you meet us in Knoxville at 9am friday. This is a team bonding trip. We will be staying at La Quinta Inn in Knoxville. 
As of now Tommy Melton will follow up with team and carry bags so we can have the room in he van.

Message From Coach Roberts

Looking ahead.

Next Friday will be varsity only… I will be taking a couple of extra to help get thru the duals. We will get five duals.  The plan right now is to get the big van and load kids in the van early Friday morning. 330-400. Drive to Knoxville Bearden high school, drive home. We should be home around 9 Friday night. After which I wont see the guys again until Tuesday the 27^th we will practice at ten am all week 27-28-29. Then on the 30 we will do the same thing again going to Alcoha high school.

Volunteers Needed

We are in need of volunteers to help cover the gate at next week’s Grand Champions Tournament.  This is a two day event that will include over 1600 wrestlers.  Please email me with the times you can work.  Older siblings can work the table with you to cover that table.  (I will be working a table with my college age daughter)  If we all pitch in nobody will have to miss their son wrestle.  FYI the wrestling team will be receiving money for our work.  The more helpers we get the more money we make.

Gate (tickets) need 2 persons per shift per table (3 tables/entrances - FHS, Beech, Dickson will each cover a table)

This responsibility involves collecting money, issuing a ticket or wristband, and checking people off a list if they purchased online in advance.  One person per table must be an adult.  Second person can be a cheerleader or other teen supervised by the adult.
