Misc. Wrestling Trivia

I was just reading an article about wrestling and came across some interesting trivia.  For those wrestlers that have gone to camps this year one name will stand out.

World Championship Wrestling
Greaco-Roman world championships first held in 1921.  First freestyle championships in 1951; each style contests 10 weight divisions, the heaviest being the 130 kg (286 lbs) category.  Olympic champions become wold champions in Olympic years.

Meeting Update

Missed a lot of parents at the wrestling meeting last night. Please contact either Coach Roberts or myself and let us know how many golfers you have for next weekends golf tournament. Time is running out. The more golfers we have signed up the smaller your fee will be for wrestling. As of right now we are looking at $275 per wrestler.
