Preseason dates are starting to come in... November 19 tournament at creekwood high.all day ... also November 22 Tuesday... First annual Blue and orange match will start at (430 weigh ins) and will come before the college match that starts at 7pm. there will be wrestle offs for the varsity spots.

I am very proud of the 7 boys who attended the World Champion Wrestling Camp this past week in Edinboro PA.  They all got physically and mentally tougher this week.  We are going to have an amazing wrestling season this year.

We will be having a parents meeting in the Wrestling Fieldhouse on Tuesday May 24th at 6:30pm to discuss our summer schedule and what can be expected.  Please plan to attend and bring your wrestler with you.  I look forward to seeing you on the 24th.

Now that the State Freestyle season has finished we are changing our focus back to folkstyle. Coach Smiths camp will begin to change over to folkstyle this week.

Here is the summer wrestling schedule for Beech High School Wrestlers:

I will be opening the weight room Monday, Wednesday and Friday at a time later determined. After which we will roll on mats for about 30 to 45 minutes to get ready for the tournaments that are following:

Saturday June 11 Harpeth summer Bash $20 -Pay me before May 15

Friday-Saturday June 17-18 MTSU AAU AND USA IRONMAN TOURNAMENT

June 20-July 8 DEAD PERIOD

July 9 Leave for EDINBORO as of now Brenden Melton, Ryan White ,Taylor Podany, Dane Peoples Travis Proctor, Jacob Bolton, Tristan Hackett is all that said is attending.

we will go to water park on 15th and return late on the 15th of July.

Weight training will resume on July 18.

Our guys have really stepped it up this week. If we had wrestled like this two weeks ago we would be wrestling in today's State Championships. 


Speaking of State Championships, the High School State Duals are at the Wilson County Ag Center this weekend. Beech has beaten two teams that are in the State Championships and should have beaten two others. So keep you heads up guys we are right on border of making something great happen.


Watch out region 7, Beech is peaking at right time.

I would like to say how proud I am of the Beech High School Wrestling team.  I have never been more proud of Beech Wrestling than this weekend!!!!!!

Our JV team competed on Friday and did very well.  The results will follow soon.  The varsity team won the Harpeth Tournament and Beech High School Wrestling is now on the map as a serious PROGRAM, not someone to be taken lightly anymore.

Ok Ladies and Gentlemen another week of wrestling is about to get underway.  Now that the football season is officially over we can start to concentrate of wrestling.  Our schedule for this upcoming week will go as follows:


Monday 11/8 - Wednesday 11/10 practice after school
Thursday 11/11 we have a match at Cane Ridge with weigh ins at 4pm (DRIVERS NEEDED)
Friday 11/12 practice after school
Saturday 11/13 we will be leaving Beech High School at 6am and going to Montgomery Central for our first pre-season tournament.  (DRIVERS NEEDED)

Attention all Wrestlers:  There will be wrestling practice at 3:30pm on Tuesday when we have no school.  We will also be practicing Saturday and having a scrimmage with Smyrna and Stratford at 10:00 that day.

Attention all wrestling parents.  This Fridays football game is at Beech vs. Mt. Juliet.   We are in great need of of at least 16 people, 4 for the visitors side and 12 for the home side.  The forecast is calling for a cold night so the coffee and hot chocolate should  be selling like hotcakes.  Please contact Renee Pickney at rpickney@live.com and let her know you can help.  We all need to pitch in on this one.  This is our last home until playoffs so lets finish strong.
